Biography
I graduated from NYC's School of Visual Art in 2010 with a degree in traditional animation, and I've been working as an animator and storyboard artist in the TV animation industry since 2012. Before I got my start in the animation industry, I attended local art festivals as a vendor selling caricatures. No training, no direction, I just got a tent from costco and started! I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, and I was terrified of drawing live! But I was so stressed about not making it as a full time artist that I forced myself to do it! My caricatures were pretty bad, but people seemed to like them, and I got mostly positive feedback! After a few years, I even started doing private parties! I kept that up while also working in animation until 2020.
I got back into doing caricatures in 2024 when someone I had met at a vendor event years prior asked if I'd do caricatures at a town BBQ. I jumped at the opportunity! And now I'm even more determined to get back into the caricature scene, and finally meet other people in the industry!
I still work in animation as a storyboard artist, but the idea of doing caricatures full time is starting to sound better and better to me. So I'm gonna try to make this work and see where I am in a few years.
