Biography
Andrea Walsh first started drawing when she was 4 years old and hasn't stopped. In 1994, she received a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Art at UC San Diego. She started drawing professionally while in college, getting discovered by a friend in Animation class, who booked her 1st paying gig at Nordstrom, drawing glamorous women after their beauty makeovers. Andrea started out in portraiture before venturing into caricature and her style is a blend of portraiture with a cartoony likeness.
Andrea and her company "Draw the Crowd" draw caricatures for special events and provide unique entertainment throughout San Diego and Southern California and would love to draw at your event! Andrea been drawing professionally for over 35 years and drew caricatures as a cruise ship entertainer for over 5 years, traveling the world while drawing people having fun. Andrea's favorite job was as Poolside Caricaturist for Loews Coronado Bay Resort for five years. Prior to that, she owned a retail caricature booth at Belmont Park in Mission Beach for five years.
