Biography
(UPDATED 2025) - My cartoonist nickname, "Bippy" came from a comic strip I drew years ago. I worked eleven years as an Electrical Engineer with the Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, NY. I later joined the National Caricaturist Network (NCN) before ISCA in the early 1990s. Founder Mr. Buddy Rose from Texas was a very dear friend.

Since 1989, I have drawn an estimated 32,000 people globally. May 1999 to 2023, I have drawn and traveled to beautiful Japan sixteen (16) times associated with Hoshinoko Production, Ltd. (www.Hoshinoko.co.jp). I love Japanese culture.

My unique motto is: "Caricatures That FLATTER... Not Shatter!"(sm). My goal is to take the guest's Spirit and my Spirit and blend them into a fun and fast caricature. I mostly draw with traditional art medium. But I have also drawn Digi-caricatures at events since 2012 with the Apple iPad Pro and various Apps.

Other interests: Rotary Club Rochester Southeast President (www.Rotary.org), journalism photography, watch collecting and horology, ancient Asian strategy game of Go, Teaching Artist to classroom students interested in learning art and cartooning, English Country Dancing and Contra Dancing. Married since 1979 to Cindy Boyer. Was a treasurer board member briefly with ISCA.
