BOARD CANDIDATES

Information provided from each candidate is below.

Abby Ferry, Vice-President

Munkhtur Luvsanjambaa, Officer

Dan Marso, Officer

From creating my own independent caricature business in my hometown of Detroit, Michigan, to becoming a freelance artist in Berlin, Germany—where I actively work events and festivals alike—I’ve gained a wide range of perspectives and experiences as a caricature artist.

Since my first taste of caricature art in 2019 while working at the amusement park Cedar Point, the world of caricature has expanded from what was intended to be a summer stint in university into an all-encompassing passion and career. This eye-opening experience was made possible thanks to my first ISCAcon, where I discovered how much of a globally connecting force this art form is, and the variety of careers and opportunities available to caricature artists.

As an active volunteer for the ISCA Social Media Team, as well as a member since 2022, I strive to support ISCA as Vice President by building a more well-connected global community, promoting further awareness of caricature as an art form, facilitating an organized and supportive environment for the ISCA Board and its members, and upholding the core values of ISCA. My background working as an educator for 5+ years contributes to my skills in public speaking, collaboration, and communication.

Becoming Vice President would be an opportunity to give back to an organization that has had such a profound impact on my life and career. I would be honored to support the organization by contributing my skills, experience, and efforts to the Board of Directors.

Hi, my fellow ISCA members and friends.

This is Munkhtur Luvsanjambaa, and I am honored to be nominated for the ISCA Board of Directors.

As an ISCA member for more than 10 years and a professional caricaturist, I would like to contribute my experience, ideas, and international perspective to our community.

I hope to help strengthen connections among caricature artists around the world, support our members, and contribute to the continued growth of ISCA.

I would be grateful for your support and the opportunity to serve.

I’ve been working in this industry for 35 years, drawing at fairs and events throughout the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand. I only became aware of ISCA about two years ago, so I’m still relatively new to the organization.

I was raised in Minnesota and now live in Arizona. I currently manage the state fair accounts in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Tulsa.

I certainly don’t consider myself someone who can offer much artistically to this group. There are plenty of talented artists here who have far more to teach me than I could teach them. What I may be able to contribute is a little bit of a business perspective, based on my years of experience in the industry.

I believe there may be opportunities to share ideas that could help artists, particularly younger artists, better understand and navigate the business side of this profession. If my experience can be useful in that way, I’d be happy to share what I’ve learned along the way.
